Cooter Wayne Godfrey

December 2, 1981 ~ January 4, 2021 (age 39)

Cooter Wayne Godfrey, 39 years old, of Poteet Tx, has gone to be with our Lord and Savior on 1/4/2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston TX. Cooter will not be alone, he will be with his father, Danny Lee Godfrey and many family members. He was survived by his Mother, Brenda Godfrey; brother, Jazz Siebold and his sister, Charlette Siebold.

Cooter loved life, he enjoyed riding in the golf cart on the beach, driving the boat on the lake, flying in airplanes and attending family gatherings.   His favorite past time was going on outings with CAC (Calab Activity Center). These are a few things that brought joy to his life and gave us great memories with him.

As we lay him to rest next to his father, we remember so many great things about him. How he would put his hand on his head and say, “Oh Man!” How his laughter would make the whole room laugh. How he would greet you with such strength and love. And, how he could bring all the fun to an abrupt end when he wasn’t happy.

Cooter will be greatly missed by many. He had a light that shined brightly and brought joy to so many. His light has not dimmed but has become brighter, for now his is with God.

He now is now his favorite prayer for eternity:

My God and My Lord,

Let Cooter sleep up high on a cloud with all the angels right next to God.

In leu of flowers please donate to the Ronald McDonald House in Cooter’s name, this organization has helped our Mother in so many ways.
