Mary was born to Nathaniel and Annie Mae Baker on August 27th, 1957 in Troy Alabama. She was a member of Word of Life from 2008-2020 in Troy Alabama until she moved to Houston, Texas in April of 2020. She was a member of Lakewood Church until her death in April of 2022.

She leaves behind 3 children to cherish her memories; Shanna Phillips, John Foster Jr., and Mya Foster. 6 grandchildren; Taylor Smith, Madison Smith, Cameron Williams, Hunter Harris, Brooklynn Thomas and Garrienne Thomas and 1 great-grandson Nolan Brooks. Sister, Trudie Degenett, Niece Andrea Degenett, nephews Timothy and Brian Degenett in Alabama.  

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and grandson.

Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with as well as those she reached but never met.
